About Us at Fence and Deck
Fence and Deck was established in September 2005 by Vaughan and Katrina. Although predominantly in Rotorua, recent jobs have included Kawerau and Taupo. In the near future it will look at expanding to Tauranga and Whakatane.
Vaughan has many trades under his belt. He started off in a tyre shop where he worked for 13 years. He then spent 5 years working for a boat building company building luxury catamarans. He then turned to management at a car performance shop for four years before deciding to return to working outside. He worked with a builder for 12 months after which Fence and Deck was established.
Vaughan’s interests include squash, mountain biking, snowboarding and water skiing. In 2006 Vaughan broke the New Zealand speed ski record, skiing at 108 miles per hour! He regularly competes in Australia, the most recent success was winning his class at the Southern 80 Ski Race in Echuca, Melbourne - the biggest ski race in the world!

Katrina’s career in the past has predominantly been working in law and most recently real estate. She is now taking a break from work with their (soon to be) new baby and 4 year old daughter Taylah. She also does all the administration for Fence and Deck. Her interests also include outdoor activities, such as snow skiing, running and mountain biking.
